Happy Tuesday

Dear Diary...

Today I am listening to my Spotify playlist and being active on my Tsu. I only could sleep for a few hours last night, so i'm trying to stay up and get on a good sleep schedule. All of my friends have been complaining about the weather. I swear that's all I hear about whenever I log into my Facebook. Its going to be in the 90s all week. To me this news is exciting. I absolutely hate the cold weather. I hope it stays like this all winter. I don't think my friends will ever be happy with the weather. I think the weather has been amazing lately.Not too hot not too cold. I was born and raised in Texas, so hot weather has never bothered me.

Connor's Birthday

Dear Diary...

Yesterday was a boyfriends birthday and he turned 26. I really do think he enjoyed his birthday. This year we didn't have a party like he usually does, but i think he was fine with that. We went to a local Mexican restaurant called Miguelitos. I informed the waiter that it was his birthday and they came out singing Happy Birthday in Spanish and stuck a big pink sombrero on his head. He was grinning the whole time. He got really drunk at the restaurant. I am really glad he had a good birthday.

Yuca

Dear Diary...

Yesterday I tried something new. We went to a restaurant called Pollo Tropical for the second time. Instead of getting waffle fries with my meal I decided to try a side explained as Boiled Yuca in a Garlic Sauce. I was expecting it to be like a potato, but it was the opposite. It had a stringy kind of texture that I did not enjoy. I thought it had a horrid aftertaste. I am puzzles because I love garlic as a seasoning. I am wondering what the flavor could be that I disliked. 

Well anyway I am happy that I actually tried something new. I love being open minded about new things. I hate it when people wont try or do new things because they think they know the outcome. If you haven't tried it how could you possibly know.

The moral of this blog post is to always try something new even if you are unsure. Who knows maybe you'll love it. 

The Worst Mac n Cheese

Dear Diary...

Mac n cheese is fairly simple to make. It comes in a box and is really simple. It takes about seven and a half minutes and 2 ingredients. Today I made a horrid mistake while making my tea. I usually drink ice tea with my lunch. Today I decided I wanted tea as usual. I always sweeten my tea with Splenda. Today I guess i decided I wanted sweet mac n cheese because I added the Splenda directly in my mac n cheese on accident. I looked at my mistake with disbelief. I quickly began to scoop up the pieces of noodles that were covered with Splenda.

I guess I was just not paying attention. Next time I make mac n cheese i will be very wary of the tea. Maybe I will just drink water next time. Have you ever done anything this silly to your food before.

First day of school

Dear Diary...

My niece and nephew started school on Tuesday. They were so cute in their new school clothes. Every year we hold a fashion show for them. This gives them a chance to show off their new school clothes before the school year. I know its kind of a girly event for my nephew, but he has fun with it anyway. My nieces clothes are always so cute, and i end up blurting out a awwww every time she come out. I would say the same about my nephews clothes, but they are boy clothes and it would be kind of weird if they were cute. I will stay that they are stylish. Every year their grandparents get them a lot of clothes for the school year. We have always been very grateful for their generosity. 

Their first day of school went off without a hitch. My neice said she made 20 friends and stated that she had a awesome day. My nephew even made a friend also. They are growing up way too fast. I wish they were still little. I love them so much. 

Bakers Street

Dear Diary...

Today I am jamming to my Spotify play list, and working on my Tsu and Google Blogger. Right now I am listening to Bakers Street by Gerry Rafferty. I really do love this song. I think its so beautiful. The downside to this song is it is so catchy and will get stuck in your head a for days. I don't mind that though. If i had to have a song replaying in my head it would definitely be one that I loved. I started another brand new blog yesterday called Tsu & You. I am trying to get new recruiters for this site. Anyway I am trying to leave the tsu talk to my new blog.

Lazy Saturday

Dear Diary...

Today I am having a lazy Saturday at home. Yesterday was such a hectic day. We were at the DMV for about 4 hours. We also saw Terminator Genisys last night. We went out for dinner afterwards at a place called Pollo Tropical. The decor in this joint was lovely. It reminded me of a food shack on the beach. The food was delicious also. They had a garlic cilantro sauce that was to die for.  I ordered the Mojo Roast Pork. It was literally to die for. It had shredded pieces of delectable pork with sauteed onions and two sides and a additional dinner roll. I dipped the meat in the cilantro sauce. I was very pleased with my dinner experience.

So I guess my Friday wasn't a loss. I got to see a movie and eat a great dinner. I was one tired girl when I got home though. I finished a series called You're the Worst. I really liked this TV show. I laughed throughout the series.
